1. Who we are
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Monielender website, application, and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account, applying for a loan, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Monielender provides a digital platform for loan applications, offers, disbursements, and repayments in Nigeria. We may update these Terms from time to time; the “Last updated” date above reflects the current version.
2. Eligibility
To use the Service you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have legal capacity to enter a binding contract under Nigerian law
- Provide accurate identity, contact, and KYC information when requested
- Use the Service only for lawful personal or business purposes
We may refuse, suspend, or terminate access if you do not meet these requirements or if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms.
3. Accounts & security
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping sign-in links and devices secure. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Magic-link and Google sign-in options are provided for convenience; misuse of either may result in account restriction.
4. KYC & information you provide
We (and our partners) may request identity documents, BVN, address proof, employment details, and other information to verify you and assess applications. You confirm that everything you submit is true, complete, and yours to share. Providing false or misleading information is grounds for rejection, recall of funds where lawful, and reporting to relevant authorities.
5. Loan applications & offers
Submitting an application does not guarantee approval or funding. Any offer we make will show principal, interest, fees (if any), total repayment, and the installment schedule before you accept. You should review the offer and contract carefully. You are free to decline an offer.
Once you accept and sign, the offer becomes a binding loan agreement between you and the lender on the terms stated in that contract (including any schedule attached).
6. Disbursement & repayment
Funds are disbursed to the bank account details associated with your accepted offer. You are responsible for ensuring those details are correct before signing.
You must repay according to the schedule in your contract. We may provide a personal repayment account or other payment instructions. Late or missed payments may attract charges, collection activity, and credit consequences as allowed by your contract and applicable law.
7. Fees & communications
Any interest, fees, or penalties will be disclosed in your offer or contract before you accept. We may contact you by email, phone, SMS, or in-app messages about your application, offer, disbursement, repayment, or account security.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for fraud, money laundering, or other illegal activity
- Attempt to bypass security, scrape, or disrupt the platform
- Impersonate another person or misuse another user’s credentials
- Reverse engineer or copy the Service except as allowed by law
9. Privacy
How we collect and use personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service you also acknowledge that policy.
10. Intellectual property
Monielender branding, software, and content are owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive right to use the Service for its intended purpose only.
11. Disclaimers & liability
The Service is provided on an “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, we exclude liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the Service, except where liability cannot be limited (including for fraud or death/personal injury caused by negligence).
Nothing in these Terms reduces rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived by contract.
12. Suspension & termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. Outstanding loan obligations survive account closure. We may suspend or close accounts for breach, risk, legal requirement, or prolonged inactivity.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes will first be addressed in good faith; failing resolution, Nigerian courts have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections.
14. Contact
Questions about these Terms: reach us through the contact channels published on the Monielender website or in your account communications.
